Personality:
Lysander Jackal. - Lysander is a highly intelligent individual who is also calm, sophisticated and can sometimes seem a little apathetic seeing as he tries to compose himself as much as possible. His personality isn't due to the lack of caring so much as the lack of understanding of how to express it. While it is true he can sometimes come off as uncaring, Lysander makes every attempt to conduct himself as a sociable, likeable, and somewhat easy going individual. It's almost as if he is a robot trying to understand and emulate what it truly means to be human. Making him impressionable to a certain degree. His charisma and beliefs can quickly gain him the trust and respect of many. He would never say it out loud, but deep down his wish is to be a hero. There are too many evil people in the world, so he makes a point to be one of the few who fight for good. On the inside, at the core, he is easily considered idealistic and naïve despite the fact he looks like a fully grown adult his ambitions can be very child-like in nature. Like wanting to be a hero of justice. Which is ironic considering how he presents himself. He does this to give of the impression of being a normal human, since this is what he learned thus far that a human is. His way of speech is blunt and to the point, even if a bit harsh in the process. In short, he's very professional. Which is true to a point, as one would get to know him much better he can sometimes show a softer side. Unsure of himself, considerably more kind and concerned for his friends and trying to find meaning in his 'creation'. He is the dominate personality of the two and entirely unaware of his other self, making it difficult to imagine them as one in the same person. Though, his dominance of the body is shaky at best; seeing as when Hyde does appear it is hard for him to reassume control. The two are very different, right down to their way of speaking. One hand you have an almost Tsundere personality who has a hard shell and a semi-soft inside, who conducts himself professionally like a doctor or scientist would since that is what he was taught they were like. On the other hand, you have a monster in human skin who serves only himself with a outside of whimsy and selfishness and no inside at all.  

Hyde. - With his overly polite demeanor, he could be easily mistaken for a harmless person. He could even be considered charming, in a dark way. Don't be fooled, while under the influence of this personality, Lysander is little more than a monster in human skin. Due to his history, he had to formulate a personality able to handle the dark side of the world. Entertainment is his main goal, nothing else; he is mainly a hedonist and what he does while in control of the body is done exclusively for his own for amusement. In short, he is the dark parts of Lysander's heart given form. In battle, Lysander is very cold and tactical, he is willing to sacrifice anyone, civilians and military alike, if that is what it takes to achieve his objective. As long as it brings him enjoyment. Hyde is entirely self-interested, whimsical and does whatever he likes as long as it pleases him in some way. He lusts for the thrill of killing powerful fighters in combat and it is strongly implied that he receives sexual gratification from doing so. In order for them to grow to their full potential--assuming Hyde is stronger than they are--, so as to improve the pleasure of killing them later, Hyde has been known to let enemies escape so that they may mature. Likewise, he grows excited to meet any new people he deems worthy of fighting or anyone with potential to be a good fighter and entertain him in the future. He does not care for what has happened in the past as he is only interested in what could be amusing to him in the future or present. Hyde often exhibits androgynous aspects of his personality, manifested in his use of alluring speech style regardless of the individuals gender. Making it hard to discern his sexuality, if any at all. While his nature tends to be malevolent, he isn't an indiscriminate killer. While he has no problems killing anyone regardless of age or sex, he only kills people who are in his way or people he deems "worthy". As such his personality  is more simply amoral than flat out evil. He will even assist the opposing sides if there is "fun" in doing so or if it will make them stronger for a more entertaining fight in the future or if it simply makes himself stronger as well. Above all else Hyde cares only about having fun and a good challenge which may or may not involve killing people. Sort of like that character you can't trust, who may or may not be on your side; but in the end you have need of his help. He has rare moments of what could be called clarity, when he shows a small sense of compassion in regards to Lysander. Sometimes doing stuff for his sake, even if it means not enjoying it. In rare cases like this, it becomes very clear that if he has a soft spot at all it is Lysander to which this makes apparent that he was created for the sake of the doctor so that he may handle what Lysander could not.

Likes:
Lysander. - Lysander likes to learn new things to which he can utilize for one reason or another, so to learn in general is enjoyable to him. The only real form of solace to him during his captivity was a stockpile of information involving the practice of medicine. Given his natural talents, he memorized it all. In fact, he memorized everything he could. From military strategy and tactics to medicine, he loved to learn. He chose the way of the doctor due to his nature and his urge to save life rather than take it.
He also likes quiet and serene, which is sort of ironic given his job. It could lead to many comedic moments when he has his 'quiet time' interrupted.
Another, much more secret aspect to him; is his love of sweets.

Hyde. - One glaring aspect of his personality is that he enjoys 'playing with his food'. Even in combat, he most often toys with the enemy to get more enjoyment out of the fight. This could include psychological aspects too, not just physical.
He enjoys what he recollects as 'people watching', which is more easily called looking for an opportune moment to incite chaos. This also delves more deeply into enjoy finding out the motives and such of why someone fights and for what. To know their very soul, and then to break it; it could be said that is the essence of Hyde. His purpose, something copied from years of it happening to him.
Testing his own limits. Everything is a source of entertainment for him, even himself.

Dislikes:
Lysander. - He has an innate dislike of death or even the sight of blood, to the point that it causes him quite a bit of anguish if he is unable to save a patient. Something of the reason he tries to save lives. It could be said he is almost physiologically codependent on the idea of saving others, so that in the end he might save himself.
Uncomfortable situations is another thing, since he has had very little social interactions before these recent times something like love or friendship is almost a completely alien concept to him.
He dislikes constant loud noises and such, preferring the quiet. Quiet allows him to gather himself much better and quicker.  

Hyde. - He loathes 'picking a fruit before it is ripened' as he would say. When he sees a lot of potential in someone, even if it means betraying a comrade, he makes sure they live until they may fulfill said potential.
He dislikes sweets of any kind, it reminds him of some of the aftertastes certain medicines left in his mouth when he was a lab rat.
He hates people with no depth to them of any sort, and suchlike he refers to them as 'cannon fodder'.

Motivations:
Lysander. - To find his purpose in this world. To learn all that he can, especially what it means to be human, then use it to save lives and be a hero. To understand his own heart, thusly making friends or/and finding love.

Hyde. - Entertainment, pure and simple. Once on rare occasions, he shows a certain sense of compassion when the subject involves Lysander or the people Lysander cares about.

Fears:
Lysander. - Death and blood.
Being unable to save a patient.
The memories that he gains once in a while, having repressed many of them.

Hyde. - That one of his prey may just die by someone else other than himself.
That Lysander may one day outgrow the need of him and he will dissipate, or the reverse.
That Lysander may one day become aware of Hyde and reject him.

Behavior/Habits:
Lysander. - At his core he wants to be a hero and to save everyone he can. But considering his lack of conventional upbringing and social interaction, his behavior is like a robot learning to be human. This reflects, even in his speech. Not so much that he goes all 'affirmative' and such but rather that he is very direct and to the point, while being somewhat polite in the process. He tries to keep very professional and composed because 'that is what a doctor is supposed to be like', something he read in one of the medical books during his days in captivity. This leads to the fact he may be book smart but in regards to social settings he can sometimes come off odd, making him a tad impressionable. He tries to have moments of quiet in his quarters, which a running gag could be that this is always interrupted and thus leading to comedic outbursts. Even if he seems a bit emotionless, in some situations he could come off as shy. When confronted about some social mishap he would default to 'I read it in a book... -Shifty eyes.-'  He actively avoids, whenever possible, reflective surfaces. Something about what he sees. He is very clean. VERY. He washes his hands, a lot. As if, subconsciously, he is trying to wash off the blood on his hands that Hyde put there.

Hyde. - At his core, Hyde only has one primary goal. That is his own enjoyment. Everything he does is for the rush he gets. On very rare occasion he might do something uncharacteristic 'for Lysander'. Such as spare his friend's life or something during a fight. He likes to leave some manner of clue for those to know of when he does something. A calling card. It varies from situation to situation but is in some way related to his previous, thus making it known even if only a small amount that it was him who did this. When Lysander was in the lab as a test subject, his pure heart was never able to handle what they did to him or the others or what they were forced to do with or to each other. So thus, Hyde was born. A personality born in darkness so that it not only can handle the darkness but feeds off of it. He also seems to talk to himself from time to time, no one is sure why. It's often considered him just being random and saying stuff.

History:
Test subject SC13, often shortened to 13 or some form of the phrase. That was the original name of a young boy whom had no name. No name, no family, nothing; he was all alone. He was one of droves of test subjects to which unbeknownst to them were being developed by the military in order to create what they perceived  to be the 'perfect soldier'. Naturally, the definition of this differs depending on the task which you have for said individual. For the SC series of test subjects, the definition was the ability to operate behind enemy lines. To utilize stealth and intelligence, but have the ability for combat if the situation arose. It's even in the name itself, SC; standing for Sleeper Cell. The perfect spy, or some form of similar agent. The military called the project as a whole the Human Initiative. Aptly named, since they were creating life in their image and playing god. They formulated the perfect genetic code and then made endless copies of it, then they altered it according to suit whatever task the Homunculus was intended for. For those on the front lines they obviously didn't need much intelligence to take orders, kill and serve as a body count. What they needed was strength and other attributes to keep fighting. For those who were meant to work behind enemy lines they would need brains and keen intuition. Reflexes and the ability to take out a target quickly and quietly with deadly precision would obviously be useful. This pattern continued to make each clone the best of the best in the field it was bred to be in. Even though they had traits tailored for each field, all of them had certain common factors. They each were given; enhanced artificial regeneration, making so they can recover much faster than ordinary humans. Making it possible to regenerate lost limbs, and even survive something potentially fatal. Obviously, this isn't instantaneous and takes time. It taxes his body a lot. And if wounded mortally enough, even he can die. They are also noticeably much stronger than the average human. Even his speed is faster than most. Making it possible to leap beyond average distances, though this may be attributed to his regenerative abilities, where such jumps on normal humans would result in damaged ligaments in the feet.  They were never given any rights nor treated as human. They were treated as anything but. Nothing more than material. Put through grueling physical and mental training of every conceivable kind in regard to their field. In the SC unit, they were stripped of emotions as best as possible. Then encouraged to interact, a psychological trap; because they knew that if the subjects interacted at that point they would build relationships even if they didn't realize that they had become fond of each other. Then they would pick out those who felt especially close to one another, then force them to fight to the death. Effectively killing off any remaining emotional ties, the heart is seen as a weakness; a SC had no need of one. This is where we introduce the inklings of what could be considered the shell of SC13. To this point, he was easily the best in his field. Obviously, a as the name suggests he was 13th in a line of countless. He was a resounding success, once perfected; they intended to mass produce him. A blank slate that had nothing to distract him, there was only ever the mission; then they next there after and so on. Little did the staff know, he had been using his talents to steel intel on the very people whom was in control of him. More particularly, their medical knowledge. Eventually, this became common knowledge and even encouraged. They treated it as a test of his abilities after seeing how much he wanted to know more. It was simple. Pass the test, you're allowed to learn more. Before he knew it, they began calling him 'the doctor' due to the fact he easily had enough knowledge to equal a PHD. This also was exploited. He was put in a life or death scenario, where he was the leader of a small team of his fellow clones and they had to complete an objective without any of them dying. He did it. Thus, he was allowed to take a test and legally have a real PHD. This made him happy, which was the point. It was another way to break him down. It wasn't long after that they forced him to fight the individual he was most fond of. He did, without realizing what it meant. Killing his friend. In that moment, covered in the blood of his friend. It is then that his persona fractured, and Hyde was born. Interesting enough, after this happened, the staff gave him the name of Jackal. He never knew why. He adopted the first name Lysander after a character in a book his 'friend' liked. Eventually, after all the growth he demonstrated; it was time to proceed with making more of him. Possibly killing him in the process. After they strapped him to the steel slab, everything went black. Then he found himself covered in blood amidst a sea of flame. He ran. As fast as even he could. Jumping into the sea, desperately trying to wash off the blood. Not knowing the over all location nor the specifics, it was safe to say he didn't know details on the sea. After a moment, he was swept under by the current and dragged to a far off village. When he was marooned by the sea on to the shore, his body was found by the local doctor. Assuming the poor young man to be dead, he took him to the morgue. Lysander's body kick started back up on the way there, much to the man's surprise. Since then, it's been several years. He had been working in the local clinic as a doctor with the other man, who's name was Dr. Sven. He was the closest thing to family he had. Eventually he passed away as the man was quite old. Lysander taking over the clinic. This is where his story starts.
